Pinaree Sanpitak is among Thailand’s most prominent contemporary artists. Since her early practice in the 1980s, her work has celebrated the female body as a vessel of perception and experience, including through her artistic explorations of the vessel and the mound as basic and primal forms. Sanpitak’s works are part of many important private and public collections, including the permanent collection of the Asian Art Museum, where her renowned Breast Stupa Topiary sculptures will be unveiled in 2021.
