MAZE TALK ● Concept & Development

Starting with the artist’s first encounter with a traditional Karen maze in Kanchanaburi to its development into a multi-dimensional maze at 100 Tonson Foundation. This maze is linked to the myth of Vessantara Jataka and the concept of meditation and awareness of the Here and Now according to Zen, as well as the ideal of the architectural body within this ever-morphing maze. Additionally, Wit Pimchanachapong and Kayoko Iemura—artist, practitioner, and founder of living room for seed—will share their collaborative process.

TECH TALK ● Welcome to Kinetic Hell

This conversation will chat about the design, installation, and technical aspects of the maze — how the artist, engineer, and installation team play with the system(?). The talk will cover the journey from the artist’s imaginative concept to the system development of the ever-morphing maze. Also, supernormal studio and engineers will share their insights on Pimkanchanapong’s projects. Featuring Wit PimkanchanapongTeeratath Ariyachartphadungkit (Bank)—the engineer who programmed this maze, and Passapak Klomsakul (Peam)—the founder of supernormal studio, an exhibition installation team that has installed numerous artworks at various galleries, museums, and art festivals. This team, along with engineers, artists, and artist assistants, built the Planetary Seed exhibition at 100 Tonson Foundation.

Admission is free, and no reservation is necessary.
Please note that the talks will be conducted without translation.
